can we spoof mac address??

hello friends...

we used to change our ip address to browse anonymously by using tools like "hide my ip", "ccproxy" and so on....like this can we virtualize our mac address using any tools for the short time of browsing, without changimg mac address manually (permanently), so that we should be able to restore our original mac address after quitting that tool ?
